Has Gerrards bubble burst?
3 defeats on the bounce, out of the champions league, players needing to be sold and a chairman refusing to sign up to the leagues new sponsor.

I have never forgiven Gerrard for 2006.

They still both have a chance for the Europa League and St Johnstone for the Conference League. But they have struggled this year to be sure.

The big 2 club co-efficient
Celtic - 34.000
Rangers - 31.250
tell you they have some success in the last 4 years.

Rangers in the last 16 of the Europa League I believe would be their best result that counts toward that number. But they are almost constantly there. The good and bad of a weak league.

That’s true Canada and it’s in no way perfect but gives a reasonable idea of the strength of the league ( in euro competitions at least) and my main point, although maybe not expressed very well and a bit convoluted, was that Scottish teams finishing first and second in the league shouldn’t really struggle to make the group stages of the Europa Cup

To be fair, it is measure of a few teams doing okay in Europe most years, rather than the leagues as a whole.

Portugal for instance, the clubs are pretty tiny beyond the top group but the big 3 do quite well in Europe.

The Scottish league is ranked eighth out of 55 in the uefa coefficients which just shows how dismal the other leagues are once you pass the top five or six

I think they would both do ok in the Prem. Not sure I want thousands of jocks raiding London several times a year though.

They could still have teams playing in the Scottish system as nurseries for Scottish players.

Both teams would be fighting relegation in the Championship.

Who gives a fuck.

“Maybe” he’s first choice left full for arsenal 😂

Re: Has Gerrards bubble burst?
Scottish football is in dire straights. There is barely a Scottish footballer capable of regular Premier League league action with the exceptions of Andy Robertson at Liverpool and Scott McTominay at Manure.

Rangers and Celtic are not strong pulls for the better European players. we comfortably dismantled Celtic 2 Saturdays ago still in pre season and they had played a couple of competitive fixtures.

Scotland - Cold, wet and miserable - No person from a decent climate (Latinos, Souther Europeans and Africans) would want to work in what is essentially an outside job unless they were truly desperate.

From a football perspective Scotland has been cunted in the bastard. End of.

Re: Has Gerrards bubble burst?
It's very black and white as to how he is judged as a manager in Scotland.

1st place is success, 2nd is abject failure.

Re: Has Gerrards bubble burst?
Gerrard’s main objective was stopping Celtic winning 10 in a row.

Mission accomplished whatever happens from here.

The fact that both Scottish clubs have dropped out of the Champions league at the qualifying stage will be an embarrassment to that country and further push the agenda of how bad the SPL is.

I know it's the luck of the draw, but fuck me Malmö are 14 league games in, how can that be right?

eusebiovic 1:14 Wed Aug 11
Re: Has Gerrards bubble burst?
The Swedes rarely display much flair when it comes to football but they are pretty robust and durable and often a pain to break down.

Malmö was always going to be a potential banana skin and as far as I am aware they have actually reached the final of a European Cup before unlike Rangers.

I still blame Scaloni...row z dude, row fucking z
